The Crypto Boom is a pearl version of the original Crypto but now features the new HK22 (Hyperkinetic22). This cover is setting a new standard by which all coverstocks are being measured. With the addition of the HK22 cover, the Crypto Boom offers a complimentary ball motion to the original Crypto with a clean projection through the front part of the lane, and a sharper continuous down-lane motion. The Crypto Boom uses the same core as the original Crypto, with a RG of 2.481 and a differential of 0.046.

    Radical Crypto Boom Review (with video)

    The Radical Crypto Boom is a pearl version of the original Crypto but enhanced with HK22 base additive. This gives the Crypto Boom a much cleaner look through the front part of the lane, and a big sweeping motion on the backend. I drilled mine 5 3/8” x 25 for length and snap, and that is exactly what I got. The Crypto Boom gives me about 1-2 boards more overall hook than the original Crypto Solid, but makes its move about 2-3 feet later, for a crisp shape that sends the pins flying. The Crypto Boom is amazing on both house shots and sport shots where you need the ball to clear the front part of the lane when those solids pick up too quickly.
